Threadless for Men for Women Now!

Tee-shirt design powerhouse Threadless has a charitable arm called Atrium, and they crowdsource designs for tees benefiting charities. We’re so pleased to announce that there’s now a fashionable and fun way to support Men for Women Now, with 25% of sales from the “5318008″ tee benefiting Men for Women Now. The assignment was to design a tee that piques the interest of men and gets them interested in women’s cancers as a cause. See the picture, below — and buy the tee HERE! (And if you don’t get the joke…try turning it upside down!)

Woody Fraser: The Inspiration for Men for Women Now

Noreen Fraser’s husband, Woody, is the inspiration behind the Men for Women Now initiative. Recently, he’s been guest-blogging for Noreen via FoxNews.com. Check out his blogs, excerpted and linked below. Living with My Wife’s Breast Cancer Our world changed forever when Noreen found a cancerous lump in her breast.  We were lying in bed, and she said, “Feel this.  Is this a lump?” We both panicked – could we feel a hard cancer, or is it soft? That was 10 years ago.  Today, Noreen’s cancer has progressed to stage 4. (More…) Facing a New Obstacle Together Noreen asked me to…Read More

A Special Thanks To M4WN Supporters

M4WN Co-Founder Featured on WomansDay.com

Television producer and director Woody Fraser was used to being the man in charge, but when his wife, Noreen, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2001, everything changed. “When she first got cancer, every morning she’d wake up and I’d be six inches from her face and I’d ask, ‘How do you feel?’ After about six weeks, she said, ‘Stop it, you’re driving me nuts.’ That’s when I realized I had no clue…so I went in the bathroom and I started crying because there was nothing I could really do to help her.”

LA Times: Genetic cancer test often urged for wrong women

From the LA Times “The U.S. Preventive Services Talk Force (USPSTF), a federally-supported expert panel, advises against routine counseling and testing for women who don’t have suspicious cases of cancer in their family, such as two close relatives with breast cancer, one of whom got it before age 50.” The key is knowing if your wife, mother, sister or loved one is at a high risk.
